How to Apply Stage 2: Full Proposal
If your brief proposal is accepted, it will be assigned to a Foundation program officer for review. That officer will determine whether you will be invited to submit a full proposal.
If you are invited to submit a full proposal, you will receive a packet of forms and instructions. You will be asked for additional information about the project for which you are seeking funding, including a detailed budget, budget narrative (see Budget Guidelines), and other supporting documents.
The program officer assigned to your proposal will become thoroughly familiar with it. He or she will conduct a preliminary review, often with the help of other foundation staff, and sometimes with outside consultants. Typically, the preliminary review lasts three to four months. If we need additional information, it may take longer. Please contact your program officer at any point to check on your proposal's status. If we decide not to fund your project during this review process, we will notify you promptly.
