How to Apply

This section of our Web site provides the most up-to-date information on our grantmaking. ELF awards grants in two ways:

  1. Grants under our competitive national programs.
  2. Grants for unsolicited projects, sometimes called ad hoc grants.

If you want to apply for funding from the Foundation, first determine whether the project for which you are seeking funding fits within one of our current competitive national programs by reading our "guidelines" section within a specific interest category.

If your project does not fit under one of our competitive national programs, we encourage you to send us your project idea, as long as it addresses our goals and interest areas, listed in the grantmaking funding interests section.
