Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope or confidence.
--Helen Keller

Background

The process and challenges of aging will, sooner or later, affect us all. At present, America's aging citizens whether residing at home or in long-term care facilities are in great peril. Political solutions, including social security, literally thwart the ability of senior citizens to achieve meaningful living standards and quality life. Those seniors who are solely dependent on entitlements have become prisoners and victims of the new social order, the welfare state.

Government regulatory schemes that drive America's long-term care industry are causing catastrophic financial distress fueled by unprecedented staffing dissatisfactions and turmoil. Many residents of long-term care facilities have come face to face with a miserable and dehumanizing experience that has frightening consequences as well. In fact, long-term care residents are the frequent victims of physical and mental abuse.

Government is causing significant pain. We can no longer afford to allow this circumstance to grow. It is the responsibility of the private sector to rescue America's elders and ourselves.

Pathway to the Solution

Founded to focus exclusive funding resources to non-government, private sector solution providers, ELF is positioned to coordinate an initiative aimed at energizing widespread support and solving America's elder crisis.

There are powerful new business initiatives already waiting that can return a meaningful quality of life to America's elders and build confidence in the ability of corporate and individual initiative to effectively meet a broad range of elder needs. Your funding support will make this happen.

By working together, ELF and its supporters will unleash the self-reliant and creative abilities of the private sector, restore dignity to the lives' of America's elders and take charge of the retirement planning dialogue with the American people.
