Long-Term Care Funding Guidelines
Funding is generally limited to projects that are in keeping with the stated objectives.
Goal:
To promote the process of discovering solutions using innovative research tools to develop and/or demonstrate new approaches that affect quality of life for residents of Long-Term Care Facilities and that have the potential for regional or national impact.
Objectives:
- Provide for informed debate that foster the adoption and change of state and federal policies that can more adequately support the long-term care facilities and their staffing to provide services that result in higher resident satisfaction.
- Strategies that, by leading to the development of a career oriented, committed staff, measurably reduce turnover and absentiism.
- Develop technology to assist in management of LTC facilities and their staffs to bring service efficiency to residents.
Organizations seeking funding must qualify under the regulations of the United States Internal Revenue Service.
Requests will also be considered to assist:
- Equipment or technology purchases.
- Purchase licensing rights on known or existing intellectual property or know how.
- Efforts to build a network of innovative and skilled individuals and institutions committed to research and development focused specifically on the stated objectives.
Requests will not be considered for:
- Financial aid, fellowships, individual study or travel grants
- Capital building projects
- Individual Long-term Care Facilities.
- Schools, colleges and universities outside the United States.
