In the last 5 years, Senator Allen's Office (which kindly issued a proclaimation of recognition), VCU Medical Center and each of you at Wachovia Bank (and formerly First Union Bank) have been involved in a number of conferences and discussions on how the Elder LifeCare Foundation could gain traction on its funding agendas. There were many strategy papers and proposals that were shared that, besides setting the framework for our mission to raise quality of life standards for elder people, set the stage for some collaborative agendas with the State Government, the Medical Center and the Bank.

With your continuing encouragement and help, Elder LifeCare Foundation continued to pursue its work on finding a solution with Wachovia Bank to seek and enable a compatible fit with the bank's agenda. At long last, the Foundation was brought to the attention of Mr. Anthony Conte who works in the Healthcare area in Richmond, and we now hope to have the traction necessary to begin our work providing housing and healthcare benefits to senior citizens and beginning our showcase project.
