• Optimum Re Insurance Company
  Mr. Remi Houle, Executive VP in charge of Risk Management for Optimum Re Insurance, has weighed in on the Elder LifeCare Foundation funding initiative known as Plan C. In his evaluation, Mr. Houle considered all key issues of the strategy and especially insurable interest and risk concerns for investors and insurance companies. In his final comments he detailed the reasons why he believes the Foundation's funding strategy rises to the level of a significant and unique achievement worthy of attention.

• Legal Opinion and Patent
  Three months ago, the international law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett and Dunner was asked to review ELF's market economy funding plan (known simply as Plan C) and, if it met all legal requirements, begin the process of filing for patent protection both in the United States and internationally. Dr. John Cull has coordinated communications with Mr. Garrett's colleague, Les Bessinger. In mid July, 2005, Dr. Cull reported that the Foundation's Plan had not only passed the test of legal scrutiny but had been enthusiastically endorsed. Close on the heals of this endorsement, the patent application was filed. Furthermore, the patent is said to represent a significant breakthrough strategy that, perhaps for the first time, builds a truly non-entitlement capitalistic response to a major social problem. While building a method of bonding an economic process to humanitarian innovation, the business plan is straight forward and extremely simple.
  
  In fact, the business plan is fully explained in one sentence:
  Funding insurable interest to raise the quality of life of elder people.
  
  
• Richmond Meeting Planned
  Medical College of Virginia's departments of Rehabilitation Counseling and Physical and Rehabilation Medicine will host a meeting in late August, 2005 on issues related to Elder LifeCare Foundation's innovative funding and market economy solutions to senior housing and care.
  
  Dr. Cull will coordinate the meetings which will include participation by the emminent aging specialist, Dr. Paul Wehman, who is Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with secondary appointments in Special Education and the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling. He is a recipient of the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation International Awards in Mental Retardation, was a Mary Switzer Fellow for the National Rehabilitation Association in 1985, and has received the Distinguished Service Award from the President's Committee on Employment for Persons with Disabilities in October, 1992. Recently, Dr. Wehman was also named one of the 50 most influential persons in the development of the field of special education, along with people like John F. Kennedy and Helen Keller in the Journal of Remedial and Special Education. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Vocational Rehabilitation. He has been the Principal Investigator of over 24 million dollars worth of federal grants since being at VCU.
  
  The central focus of ELF's meeting involves our key participant, Mr. Razmik Khachatourians, a gifted strategist in the world of life insurance investments whose strength lies in starting new companies and in the expansion of existing companies. Razmik's primary responsibility is the negotiation, vision and direction of a variety of companies, especially the Elder LifeCare Foundation, where he sits as a key advisor on financial and business processes to leverage worldwide humanitarian solutions for elders.
  
  
• Fundraising Corner
  In addition to providing significant progress on the ELF "Key Man" life insurance funding program, the Foundation's key advisor, Razmik Khachatourians, has developed the business plan for a network of membership funding initiatives that are guaranteed to build significant revenues. Operating under the guidance and management of a holding company are four separate entities dedicated to revenue production. The four companies are dedicated to the following business activities:
  
  
  1. Credit card services
  2. Discount services
  3. Communication services
  4. On-line shopping services
  
  
  In fact, ELF Card Company, Inc.(Credit card services) has developed its charter and, with the collaboration of a major bank, is actively preparing to launch its credit and charge card services. Preparations have also been started in each of the other three entities which are scheduled for launch soon after credit card services are under way.
  
  
• New Website
  The current ELF web has served its purpose in providing a stable resource of news, information and articles for its associates, partners and supporters. With significant funding that is currently underway, the focus needs to shift to new horizons.
  
  In the interest of becoming a more viable communication resource for general public use and its membership programs, the foundation has begun the process of totally redesiging its website. Over the next several months, webmasters, graphic artists, content developers and technical experts will be called upon to build a new web that invites the public attention to become active members and to use the the many quality of life enhancing information and consumer services that are the sould of the foundation's mission.

• Wake-Up Advice for America's Younger Generation
  Dear Young People,
  
  There simply is no better feeling in the world than sacrificing for the benefit of others. That is particularly true when your sacrifice benefits me. I want you young college students to keep that in mind the next time you hear someone criticizing the Social Security system. I will be retiring about the time you are paying large sums into Social Security, and your tax payments, I mean contributions, will be sent directly to my buddies and me so we can afford to drive enormous motor homes to the local shuffleboard courts. None of it will be invested into your own personal account for your retirement.
  
  Some of you may be asking, but then what kind of financial return can I expect from Social Security? That is the type of question we have to expect from those who, because of the damaging effects of natural selection, insist on thinking of themselves first. But let me consider the return a college graduate about to enter the work force can expect from Social Security. The news is better than some of you believe, especially those of you who believe an invasion by the space aliens who kidnaped Elvis Presley is more likely than Social Security being solvent when you retire. Let me give you my unwritten, but completely unenforceable, guarantee: you will receive Social Security checks when you retire.
  
  Sound like a good deal? If not, it may be time to begin thinking about your future,...it is in your hands.
