Elder LifeCare Foundation | MissionThe Elder Life-Care Foundation (ELF), located in Reno, Nevada, is a privately funded, nonprofit, 501c(3), tax-exempt grassroots education and action foundation dedicated to the promotion of private sector solutions to the needs of our elder citizens. The foundation advocates funding the discovery and implementation of research and development processes aimed at enabling a true quality of life circumstance for aging senior citizens. Furthermore, the function of ELF is to encourage honest and meaningful research and dialogue that will define the pathway for our next generation now engaged in preparations for their aging years.
ELF's vision and agenda is teaching quality of life skills to aging people by encouraging striving behaviors that lead to outcomes of thriving and enhanced livelihood.
PhilosophyELF harbors the belief that the human spirit achieves happiness, fulfillment and meaningful quality of life in circumstances where liberty encourages and enriches the value of incentive. By their very nature, entitlements, which cause dependency and loss of control limit and deprive humans of their freedom. What drives human fulfillment and happiness is incentive based behaviors enabled by freedom. History makes it abundantly clear that in order to thrive, the human species needs to engage in self-reliant behaviors characterized by striving. (more on philosphy)
ELF is an advocate of free enterprise solutions that promote the freedom and self-reliance of our citizens, whether senior citizens or those of younger generations preparing for the challenges of aging. ELF will fund private efforts that enable the comprehensive and collaborative discovery of solutions to a meaningful quality of life for all. Applications will be entertained from non-for profit private sector individuals and groups that convincingly conform to ELF's direction and philosophy. In this regard, ELF encourages and accepts proposals from commercial interests, individuals, academic institutions, social policy activists and faith based programs that demonstrate truthful interest in self-determined global values of freedom and human rights as they relate to and affect senior citizens and youth on the pathway to the challenges of aging.
ELF believes that the free market, through its inherent system of checks and balances that value the importance of self-reliance is the best method yet devised for creating individual opportunity, human happiness and protecting the sanctity of liberty.
Once an example of self-determination, the United States was founded on principles that expected personal responsibility. The future of human happiness in all people depends on knowledgeable, energized citizens who, as "captains of their own ship", are fully in control of their lives and destinies. An enormous effort will be undertaken to energize the will and spirit of all to recognize the values of liberty. Through its public fund raising events, ELF will endeavor to increase public consciousness and understanding about the issues of citizens on the pathway to their later years, solutions for today's senior citizens and a truthful reflection on the values of human happiness. ELF intends to lead all people around the world to accept that quality of life and freedom are matters of personal understanding, critical thinking and responsibility.
We hope you will join with our supporters who like so many of us throughout the country and around the world, have recognized the widespread confusion, anger and even pain that, like a cancer, has spread, gripping people of all ages in the clutches of a lifestyle dominated by notions of social control and dependency, the antithesis of a quality existence. Meaningful quality of life is in the interest of us all. The survival of human fulfillment and happiness is in our hands. It is time for constructive change. The Elder LifeCare Foundation sees a unique role to support solutions that discover ways to restore dignity and understanding to the aging process, including meaningful changes in lifestyle strategies and caregiver roles that bring true dignity to our later years.
By working together, ELF and its supporters will unleash the self-reliant and creative abilities of the private sector, restore dignity to the lives' of citizens around the world, discover the pathways to quality aging and take charge of the retirement planning dialogue with the aging around the world.
The processes that produce meaningful and sustainable solutions for the aging are within our reach.
