To enhance the well being of Jewish senior citizens who live in Southern New Jersey by providing a social, cultural, and spiritual environment whereby they can enjoy their "Golden Years," and continue to be involved in the community.

The Charles Bierman Home, a nonprofit organization, was founded over 60 years ago at its present location by Charles Bierman. He was deeply concerned about the needs of the senior Jewish men and women in his community who would benefit as they grow older by living in a congenial, homelike atmosphere.

Council for the Jewish Elderly :"The test of a people is how it behaves towards the old." - Since 1972, Abraham Joshua Heschel -Council for Jewish Elderly (CJE) has helped thousands of elderly people and their families with daily living.
