In my opinion, one that I know is shared by a groundswell of critical thinkers throughout the United States and the world; the so-called "Patriot Act" (that has not a thing to do with patriotism of a free people) is an obnoxious assault on natural rights of every living human. It exist only as a tool of the welfare state "hell bent" on scraping all remaining privacy and dignity of a man's claim to his own livelihood or any obstacle to its unlawful claim to prior restraint on mankind's assets. The purpose is to expose all financial activities and assets to public view, especially the government, which, of course, lays claim on all property and assets per its obstructive and disrespectful view of natural rights (Bill of Rights), asset confiscation and taxes.

By disallowing privacy, control and even ownership of one's assets, the act is the antithesis of quality of life and as such deserves neither respect nor compliance. Thus, individual citizens who still believe that they "own" and have the right to control their livelihood live in a state of dishonesty, confusion and illusionment. This results from crafty government proselytizing and propaganda aimed to misinform and convince the majority of their non-critical and compliant constituents that their aim is about patriotism and lofty high morality, when it is neither.

The only winner in all this practice of deception is, of course, the members of the political class. They alone have a vested interest in the outcome of controlling the livelihood assets of the public.

And as for the Patriot Act's attacks on insurance, politicians should easily understand how effective the fearsome consequences of non-compliance of the "Patriot Act's" threats to individual livelihood are as tools to insure their own hegemony and power.
